Sometimes we just want to be the weakest in the group, to be the smallest.
Just because. Just because it means that when we err, we don't lose face. Just because it MAY give us space to err.
But don't you want to grow? Don't you want the satisfaction you will get when you've finished the job without mistakes? It doesn't mean that when you're the youngest or whatsoever, you become relaxed, because you can make mistakes. It means you have to be even more vigilant, to be better than the rest. This world is competitive. If you just maintain and don't improve, then there will definitely be someone who will overcome you someday. Just wait for it.
I believe that being the smallest, least experienced means that you have to, all the more, improve, be more diligent, because you are inexperience, so go gain that experience you need to catch up with the others. All the more it gives you no reason to slack.
Yet, sometimes, we want to be the best, the strongest.
But we forget there is Someone whose weakest weaknesses are stronger than our strengths. Furthermore, if we can't improve, if there is no reason to keep on moving up, then what's the point of always staying on top? I'd say it's time to move on to another group where you aren't the best.
In order to grow, the papaya tree has vines around it, strangling it. But it helps it to grow. When someone once felt pity for the plant and cut the vines, it could not grow. You see the connection?
You have to let yourself go through tough times in order to improve and keep on growing, strengthening your strengths and weaknesses.
