SOMETIMES I WONDER...
Why do we go on holiday?
If we would just relax everyday, would there be a need for a holiday? There wouldn't even be the need for the not-so-rich to envy the rich, who get to go on holiday.
But then, some people work hard only for the holiday. If there was no holiday to look forward to, some or most might not even work.
Jealousy and reward.
Are Holidays a cause of jealousy or rewards?
The poor cannot afford a holiday overseas, thus they envy those who can. They get jealous. Some MIGHT feel inferior. Of course there are many others who can afford to go on holiday overseas, but prefer to stay in Singapore. =) These are those who are content.
Rewards are for those who have worked hard. Holidays to the rich, are considered rewards. Yet these rewards cause jealousy.
