Why do we sleep?

When we sleep, we spend almost one-third of our life sleeping, when we could have been doing so much more! Couldn't the LORD have made us humans so powerful that we needn't sleep? Even sharks don't sleep! So many people leave the world with regrets because they do not have enough time to sleep! With the time that we sleep, we could ahve been studying, working, earning $$ and MUCH MORE! And they say MONEY = TIME, so if that's true, then we have wasted ALOT of $$ on sleeping! Then there would have been no poverty in this world!

But then, this is how we were made, and we have no choice but to accept it. Is there anything else we can do?
