OMG! today's sergeant rank promo and crampcraft badge test was so freaking different!!!!! the survival cooking thing was a total FIASCO! we managed to light up the fire, however, we couldnt sustain it! we were suppossed to boil the water, but my mess tin of water was only warm, but not boiled! we had no experience! we didnt go for ATC la! how we know what to do? no hands- on practical!
we werent told that the "fisherman's knot" was going to be tested, so everyone didnt know how to tie it and its uses/ type. then the sir said that the survival cooking will not be counted, but 100% of the test will depend on the theory! and we didnt know how to tie the knots!!!!!! sure fail one. =(
we had first aid test for sergeant promo after we changed to full u. the test was simple! got so mnay helping words one. the difficult part is the sergeant commanding and drills part.
we had sergeant promo! with a few outram guys and 1 other gal from another sch. their style of doing drills is so much different! the timing and everything! and now i know who times during drills. its freaking obvious!
hmm. i think my commands were too soft. i dun think i might be able to pass this promo. =(
oh wells. the first area promotion we had was certainly an experience! after all the drills, we had to clean all the mess tins till they were clean. before that, i had already cleaned the mess tin that i had used clean, but the others hadnt, so we had to clean for them. sheesh. got nothing to clean with cos it was raining, so got no dry leaves nor small stones. some of the mess tins were freaking sticky! oh wells.
