hmms. jsut had my peer leader training workshop. only the first day. 2 mroe days to go.
today morning was fun. the trainer was very funny la. make us laugh a lot.
seriously, i found out that i learnt ALOT from his session. i learnt more about leadership and what it means to me. the other leadership camp i had this year was fun and i learnt much form that too, but i felt that i had wisened more after listening to him.
he told us that leadership is a choice, not a position.
he gave us examples of people and also his own experiences about leadership, having self-confidence.
he taught us 2 words that his father taught him.
being "TRUE" to oneself.
live your life "WORTH".
i understnd the depth of these 2 words.
what i learnt at the last camp:
a leader must:
- MODEL the way for others
- INSPIRE in others the vision
- CHALLENGE the problem
- ENABLE others to work
- ENCOURAGE others
what i learnt today:
a leader must:
- have EMPATHY for others
- KEEP SECRET what's meant to be SECRET
and the list goes on...
too long to write le la.
anyways, i learnt many tings today and i am glad to say that i have wisened in terms of maturity, mentally, being more thoughtful to others...
oh, the coach also told us, "once a leader, always a leader"
i will believe in that and do my very best as a leader to serve others.

P.S. oh yes, tmr we'll be going DRAGON BOATING!!! yay! second time! we'll be doing the rocking thing too. yay! ;)
